Reserve Holiday Season Flights Early

Recent economic troubles led many airlines to trim their routes, flights and even switch out larger aircraft for smaller planes. However, trends are showing more people planning to travel this holiday season than last. If you're planning to join the throngs of happy holiday traveler's,  it's best to reserve your flights early. Just how early should you book? In general, it's a good idea to ask your travel agent to reserve flights as soon as you know where and when you want to go for the holidays. Booking 30 to 60 days in advance should assure you a good selection of flight schedules. Waiting to book flights will only limit your choices, and you may miss an opportunity to book a direct flight.
The further in advance you book the lower the airfare is likely to be.
